I have the exact same symptoms with my C-Max TDCi 58 Plate Although I can only see aggro, frustration and time wasted in a vain attempt to get some compensation from Ford / Trust Ford workshop / Ford Dealer (Bristol Street Motors) from their sub standard product and awful customer services.. this discussion is really helpful. Many thanks in advance. That's the 1.8 TDCI Lynx Diesel. The TDDI was made until 2002, I believe, and they didn't make a variant in the Ford Focus with 115hp. Regarding the problem, give it a service, and put a new battery in it. I've just put a Bosch battery in mine. About £70 delivered to the front door. 49. Name: Mike. Ford Model: MK1 Focus 1.8 TDCi. Also when my son needed 4 in his he had 2 reconditioned and 2 off the shelf. Both ran and are still running perfectly. Problem one: A few months ago i noticed the clutch was sounding noisy with a rattle sound but it only did it very occasionally. This is now all of the time and when i took it to the garage they said that it was the Dual Master Flywheel and advised that i didn't need to change it yet as it is very expensive and i was fine driving it. When driving the car coming onto and off the turbo in each gear there is a very abnormal noise. the noise is identical to a sucking in of air noise. The noise only happens when driving the car. I am looking for a cheap way to get some more power from the focus 1.8 tdci and have seen a number of in line boxes that install between the fuel pressure sensor and the ECU. There are a number of them for sale on the famous auction site but is there a better option without spending more than £100? Sj6ni.
