I hate Monster's inflated prices as well as anyone, but you can't argue against the construction of their cables. And when someone's spending $2000-$5000 on A/V equipment, $30-$50 more for a better constructed cable is worth it, especially in when it comes to certain installations.
USB version 2 A-B cables. These are the classic USB cables with a “house-shaped” connector on one end and a rectangular, spade-shaped connector on the other. This is commonly utilized in printers, old hard drives, and even some audio devices. Hang on to a couple of these for now, especially when you own the gadgets we’ve just mentioned.
The cables alone are worth that Reply reply More replies More replies. Moltthug • I own the monster cable one and I like it. I also have the official Xbox component
I have read many of the white papers regarding high end speaker cable and their logic is so full of holes I would never give most of them a cent of my money. Buy high quality cable and make high quality terminations.
This is a well built cables, very attractive packing with the storage cases, sonic-ally very disappointed,I bought it because I need a 10 ft bi-wire and try the time correct technology,to replace my Audioquest bedrock 8 ft,once I installed this cable,my hifi become low fi,the time correct slow down all the rhythm, one simple explain, the music is not musical, after a burn in period,no improvement
Ive fallen for the Monster cable trap, all my interconects,Svideo, and componant are monster, speaker wire..just good no name ,works great.Only thing on the s-video,ive learned to watch out for th ereal inexpensive type thats rather thin, had a couple internally break wires from a little too much movement from ,repositioning stuff etc.
To me, any cable company that will replace a broken cable for free is worth it. If I added up all the crap cables I've bought it would well exceed the price of my monster cables. Does it improve the sound?, probably not. I've had one crap out in 5+ years. It was a gift, so I called Monster directly.
As high-definition televisions grew in popularity, the company expanded into HDMI and high-def cables, [23] including a cheaper HDMI Basic [22] and HDMI cables with five different speed ratings. [24] Monster began manufacturing and marketing USB and ethernet cables as well as power management products in 2009.
As a guitar player I will say monster makes the absolute best guitar cables, and the warranty is amazing, so the price is worth it. I fail to see why an HDMI cables needs to be basically indestructable,, as it doesn't face the punishment my guitar cords do.
No, Monster Cable sucks for a number of reasons. Check out www.monoprice.com or www.bluejeanscable.com for all your cable needs at totally reasonable prices. Another vote for Monoprice. Both companies are good. I just bought five interconnects from Monoprice, though, and was blown away by
